April Employee Spotlight: Shane Schulz

Shane Schulz has been with the company for over 24 years. Having started as a welder, through dedicated and precision, he has worked his way to being the welding supervisor.

Accomplishments at MECO:

Best advice:

Work hard, be productive, have a good attitude, and stick with it.

Next MECO milestone:

To build the strongest welding department that MECO Omaha has ever had.

Why did you choose this line of work?

It chose me. After the Army I started working in steel; manufacturing just fit me and I’m not a “behind the desk” kind of person.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The people I work with.

Outside interests:

Bowling, golfing, and fishing.

Favorite place in Omaha:

The Old Market.

Favorite restaurant:

Around the Bend Steakhouse.
